The Force, headed by whomever gets to the e-crime first, is organized under the authority of an uncharted act. Under the Webmaster's direction, the tagPOlice control and manage numerous operations.

The Force consists of divisions, alphabetically designated in no particular order, with a headquarters for each generally located in provincial or territorial or state capitals. The operational divisions are further divided - but mostly just over trivial shit.

Assuming you made it this far - seriously? I just find excessively long unidentified urls are annoying. I didn't want to go into an excessively long rant within the (any) post so I simply re-tagged, identified and left a note that I had been there - hence teh tagPOlice.

Identifying the link takes the guess work out of long e-trips - readers know where the link takes them before clicking on it and can make a choice. Titled and or named links also credits the source to some degree - url's rarely reflect or identify authorship and or subject.

Using the bbcode is alright in most cases and works fine but there are times the url itself is annoyingly long (did I mention that already?) and can be an eyesore, taking away from a great post Smile.

And then there are times when a url is so long it reeks havoc on the entire page, stretching it as far as the mouse can see. Then sometimes uncharted's resident (and visiting) quoters copy paste the damn thing onto the next page....

html, don't leave home without it.
