Who here believes that if America could be awakened out of it's "dream", that a world healing could begin?

This is cool. Along with various, informative blogs and web pages, Paul is embarking on a Third World American USA Tour, beginning Novemeber, 2006. A journey he hopes will take up the slack (and neglect) of the mainstream media (msm). While msm is busy figuring out "who fathered Anna Nicole's baby", Paul plans to be on the road talking to real people about real issues.

You can follow and support Paul by downloading and listening in on his Podcasts.

I see you've been spending time with Joe again! Mr. Green

I've got a little time now...where and when does the anti-porker bus tour kick off? Wink

A day without Joe is like a day with sunshine.

I believe it's a car and the scheduled departure (aasumedly out of San Diego) is November 17th - you in?

I actually got a note from Paul shortly after posting the blurb. I suppose it had everything to do with the shameless plug I left on one of his blogs. But that's neither here nor there.

The point is that good news travels fast, in cars and buses and is now easily podcast and there's not much need for msm any longer. let them eat dirt.

Hmmm...you been dropping uncharted's address around again? How shameless! Mr. Green

Paul has already done a lot of work and his dedication will bring him even more. I'm thinking he will meet many friends along the journey...as he should! I doubt I will be able to join the tour, but I could offer Paul a place to rest and some good food if he passes this way. Very impressive undertaking IMHO! Joe was impressed as well!

No, I simply posted that the people who visited uncharted.ca would be hearing about the tour. I swear, there was no other way.

I absolutely think the man is genius. He advocates rejection ballots - voting against incumbents just out of principal. Simply to let the bastards know it can be done, a man after my own heart.

The point being, what other influence do constituents enjoy? It matters not which party sits in power, with the right money, each and every one of them are susceptible to political influence, mix and matchers.

If we've learned nothing else from conventional politics, it's that it rarely, if ever, reflects popular opinion, what better way to put a dent in that, then to simply swing the powersource.

Paul defined his forthcoming tour back in August. He did a podcast announcing his plans for his one-year Third World American Podcast Tour of 48 states. He states what the tour is all about!

Sounds good to me, everything is better than nothing. If Paul can even deliver on part of his stated goal, it's a winwin IMO. If he walks away robertsonsized (hardly likely), then it's still a winwin - lesson learned and it would reaffirm what's wrong with america.

Paul is a very interesting guy with a lot of unique ideas. As a testament to the power of the internet, I certainly wouldn't have heard of him or his tour if it hadn't been for this thread.

What’s most frightening about the mainstream media is their rapid pace of consolidation. Disney, Viacom, General Electric, and News Corp combine to dominate the news and the cultural information we receive. They control massive chunks of the TV, radio, cable, and even internet marketplaces (News Corp owns MySpace.com).

The only antidote to this consolidation is the independent bloggers and web site administrators who act on conscience and courage instead of greed. So thanks to people like Paul, and atuuschaaw, and siggy ; we hear the real stories. But, even that is on the verge of being compromised unless Net Neutrality becomes a standard within the various telecommunications acts being proposed.

From the 1969 U.S. Supreme Court decision in Red Lion
Broadcasting v. FCC:

Quote:
It is the purpose of the First Amendment to preserve an uninhibited marketplace of ideas in which truth will ultiately prevail, rather than to countenance monopolization of that market, whether it be by the Government itself or a private licensee. It is the right of the public to receive suitable access to social, political, esthetic, moral, and other ideas and experiences which is crucial here. That right may not constitutionally be abridged either by Congress or by the FCC

Hello everyone,

I wanted to say how much I appreciate you all helping to spread the word about my tour.

You know, Michael Moore rides around in a tour bus with an entourage of assistants (including someone on hand to replenish his water bottle--a water boy!). I'm doing this 100% myself. Granted, that's out of necessity, not choice, but you get the point. It's difficult, more difficult than it really should be. So difficult that I might not make it even halfway across the country.... That's what I mean by "reality", as opposed to media farces like the Jim & Laura blog where they traveled the nation sleeping at Wal-Mart parking lots. Wal-Mart paid for the whole thing (including the RV!). I'm still trying to find a vehicle for this tour.

So any support you can provide, spreading the word a such, really truly matters in this case. Once I hit the road, my ability to self-promote online drops almost to zero.

By the way, Siggy, what is "robertsonized"? It sound dreadful (Pat Robertson?), so I hope it doesn't happen to me!

And please don't forget to Vote Against ALL Incumbents on November 7. Visit www.vaai.org or listen to my podcast Special Edition 002 to learn why this is vital for restoring The People's sovereignty over their government!

All the best,
Paul

Paul, when you do hit the road, are you planning on recording and archiving segments and interviews for a later publication or will you update the TWA site when the availability of the internet presents itself?

Well, my plan is to gather as much documentation as possible 4-5 days each week, spend 1-2 days of each week writing, recording, and uploading the podcast episode. Obviously, the shows will have to leave out a lot of information, if only because it takes too long to write and record while traveling. There's also a lot of time consumed by driving in the Midwestern/Western states.

I'll also try to add a text blog that adds more information without consuming so much recording time, and this might link to media I'm able to edit and upload, that wasn't in the podcast. Also, I don't have a phone, so I'll have to see whether Skype + public internet access is good enough for making calls. I'm already testing Skype out, with mixed results.

So there should be roughly one show a week (one for each state). I might break it down into two shows uploaded at once if the episode is long, however.

The other documentation I'll save for the documentary film and book that I hope will come of this when it's all over.

I've posted a new special edition episode of the podcast, which concerns the 911 Truth Movement.

Hopefully I didn't take literary license to the extreme and scare everyone off in the first half. Please, listen to the entire show if you listen to it at all!

All the best,
Paul
