I am starting a new thread devoted to the Standing Rock Sioux fight for clean water, sovereignty, and civil/human rights. If you desire some background on this, see More Corporate/Government Slime thread. The world is now watching this tyrannical war on American citizens attempting to protect their private property, their culture on that privately owned private property, and the resources on their private property (their sole source of clean water). And, the governor of Nebraska and a fossil fuel corporation are truly waging war. And, many American tax dollar are being spent to aid this corporate entity, as well as employing the use of municipal law officers from around the country and ordering in the national guard. This is a nation disgrace. Question #1--where the fuck is Obama on this? He's been silent and stood by and watched the violence.
Where is our university trained civil rights attorney president? How can he be such a demanding advocate of human rights/civil rights in other countries and remain silent at home? What about Hilary Clinton? She lost an election, she didn't die. Ms. human/civil rights has no opinion? Her vice presidential candidate has spoken out in support of the Standing Rock Sioux. All of this combined has reached an atrocious condition. Standing Rock Water Protectors are being totally isolated and the governor is trying to starve them out and endanger their lives by preventing necessary, vital, life sustaining supplies from getting to them (and remember it is a frigid Nebraska, snow laden winter and there are many children there). This looks like the same tactics the American government used against the Sioux (and all other Indian nations) 150 years ago to destroy them so they (the government/white people) could take their lands. 9 mint video http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017413082 Of course, Bernie Sanders had an opinion a long time ago. Al Gore has an opinion--Absolute Atrocity. http://www.democraticunderground.com/10028321595 and Harry Reid has an opinion (even tho it should have come months ago). and Tom Udal has an opinion. http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017413100 and Robert F Kennedy has an opinion. http://www.ecowatch.com/kennedy-dakota-access-pipeline-2118593345.html Jesse Jackson has an opinion. http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-north-dakota-pipeline-20161026-story.html Tulsi Gabbard has an opinion and will be one of the American veterans on the line soon. http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017413100 and http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/veterans-protect-standing-rock-protesters_us_583ee73fe4b0ae0e7cdaf766 and, support Our veterans in aiding the Standing rock water protectors. https://www.gofundme.com/veterans-for-standing-rock-nodapl and, veteran Wes Clark, Jr. (son of General Wesley Clark) on Facebook And, some veterans have arrived. I have yet to close in on exactly what I think about treaty lands and the horrors and injustices of the past. With or without the past it's especially clear what's happening to people here is wrong and more than concerning.

It was estimated 2,000 American veterans would arrive to aid and show support for the Sioux Nation in their fight to stop the pipeline from passing through their sacred sites (burial,etc.)--and pipeline progression has already dug through these sites, But, so far the veteran count is at 6,000. These veterans took an oath upon entering the military to fight external, as well as, INTERNAL ENEMIES of the people of the country. All forces are represented (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and National Guard). "Authorities" are controlling news dissemination.

The decision essentially halts the construction on the 1,172-mile oil pipeline about half a mile south of the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. Thousands of demonstrators from across the country had flocked to North Dakota in protest." |

Quote: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-pipeline-idUSKBN13U15I Trump supports completion of Dakota Access Pipeline Politics | Mon Dec 5, 2016 | 11:32am EST Reuters Excerpt: By Valerie Volcovici | WASHINGTON "U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday said for the first time that he supports the completion of a pipeline project near a North Dakota Indian reservation, which has been the subject of months of protests by tribes and environmentalists. A communications briefing from Trump's transition team said despite media reports that Trump owns a stake in Energy Transfer Partners, the company building the pipeline, Trump's support of the pipeline "has nothing to do with his personal investments and everything to do with promoting policies that benefit all Americans." "Those making such a claim are only attempting to distract from the fact that President-elect Trump has put forth serious policy proposals he plans to set in motion on Day One," said the daily briefing note sent to campaign supporters and congressional staff." |

Trump's shares of the company created a possible conflict of interest for the president-elect, as his administration may determine the project's fate amid ongoing protests from Native Americans and climate activists. Trump has supported the 1,172-mile pipeline and broader efforts to produce more fossil fuels in the United States." |

Pretty much a case of I told you so. North Dakota pipeline failure. I wouldn't call 176,000 (I'm sure that's at least) gallons of oil simply a leak--and spread down stream 6 miles (at least). I'm sure it's in the oil/pipeline interests to minimize figures.

Trump Tyranny!!
The environmental impact study requested by the Standing Rock People has been dismissed and the customary two week waiting period is ignored. Work/drilling can begin now. There is nothing this brain dead, fat ass won't do for his wall street bodies. He is voiding the U.S. Constitution in every conceivable way. He thinks he is the exalted monarch and every whim is edict. And, those around him encourage this behavior as long as he signs whatever they put in front of him. He lies perpetually about everything and his hallucinations/delusions are covered by those fiends pulling the strings. http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017423003 Completely unrelated, but here is an example of his insanity/inadequacy. Today. 4:11 AM. The President of the United States--the leader of the free world, upon awakening(?) is on twitter spewing this nonsense. Who among you can find this reasonable? From trump--Destroyer Of Lives. https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/828939235499638784 _________________ one of the others |

Help the Standing Rock Sioux in any way you can. They are now the front lines. If you think this will not/does not affect you--you're wrong. If for no other reason than the take over of this insane government now entrenched, then the tentacled grip of the corporate take over of this country (sound dramatic--well, it is) and the full frontal assault and erosion of our Constitution. Everything affects everything. Hang together or hang alone.
You know the American dream is now dead. I've read you have to move to Canada to find it. video 9 min http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017423126 _________________ one of the others |

Investors now get nervous and ask to have the pipeline rerouted away from Standing Rock water supply.
It took all this shit to get here. Seattle, the state of California, Norway, etc. move their many billions and investors now develop morality. Sure, right. Everything was OK until it started to fuck with their money. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/investors-banks-rerouting-dakota-access-pipeline_us_58a76a6ee4b045cd34c1946e?9jpquyl3x7lm1jor& _________________ one of the others |

trump's feds are on the attack at Standing Rock and making arrests that carry federal charges that impose up to fifteen years. This is absolutely absurd. Under trump, mr tough guy (big fat makeup wearing puffball), law enforcement is completely militarized.
Even after investors have come out and asked that the pipeline be rerouted around the Sioux water supply (as it was done for the white community to the north (Bismark) after they feared contamination of their water supply), this assault against demonstrators (water protectors) is, simply, vengeance, as the world watches. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/feb/18/standing-rock-activists-justice-department-new-arrests and. on site http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017424953 and http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017424954 _________________ one of the others |
