As American auto makers scramble, caps in hand, to develop alternative fuel vehicles, it's worth visiting (or revisiting) Chris Paine's 2006 documentary Who Killed the Electric Car?. The irony is inescapable - it was only a few short years ago that the same corporations went out of their way to kill the very product that they must now create or face extinction. Was it just a case of poor management decision-making or is the corporate ethos itself to blame?
The documentary is available in ten parts on www.youtube.com. _________________ Time is on the side of the oppressed today, it's against the oppressor. Truth is on the side of the oppressed today, it's against the oppressor. You don't need anything else. - Malcolm X |
