Not sure what you all will think, but I could totally live in a community like this

Quote:
Fetterman's efforts to create youth-oriented programs, revitalize his town, and attract artists and other "creatives" to his community were featured in The New York Times. An article about him, describing him as "America's coolest mayor", appeared on July 15, 2009 in The Guardian in the United Kingdom. He was the guest on the Colbert Report on February 25, 2009, discussing the economic difficulties his town faced due to a decreased population, plummeting real estate values, and bankruptcy. He also questioned why funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 could not be used to support projects such as those in Braddock. Fetterman has also been involved in the Environmental Defense Fund's advocacy for carbon caps and green technology, believing development of green energy industries can revitalize the region's economy

I thought this might get more response. Is it a dream, or could this be a reality ? Wow, imagine being able to produce your own food, barter with others and not have to depend on any level of the gov. for your needs to live happily ever after.

I know it could be done, but are people ready to work for it and sacrifice, or are they still going to stand there with their hand out crying "poor me".

I bet everyone on here could grow alot of their own produce, etc. Some probably already do. I am still trying, not going to give up.

Thanks for the post Scott.
