Few days ago;

Former part/owner of the fish market attended a meeting with union officials and members of the e-board. Secretary treasure Rosalyn Hackworth addresses the former owner as “a piece of shit”. Moments later President Mickey Kasparian tells the former part /owner get the f**k out of my building.

A remainder to Rosalyn and Mickey, the fish market did not go out of business. You and your worthless leadership forced them out!

Now, you have no choice but to deal with the new owners. The current status is, get what they offer you and in the process screws the fish market workers or the new owners will work without a union.

Hey Mickey; here is something to think about; you and your inept leadership single handed transformed a union company into a non union company.

We don’t need the politicians to deprive the workers of a union; you can do that all by your self. You should be proud of yourself and we the union members should be proud of your leadership.

VIVA LA UFCW!

Ross- interviewed w/ Vons this am per store re-opening.

They won't hire any "food/grocery"("we're not allowed to...") only GM @ $8.20 hr, I told them there's lots of things out there for $10 w/out union dues,... thanks anyway. She said they have to pay me 19.50 if hired back, even at Food4Less, which isn't what the union rep told me. I get 2 more U/E extensions, so they can stuff their 8.20/hr where the sun won't shine.

Gordon,

Try the fish market they are paying $14.00 per hour entry level drivers, others position avaliable at $10.00 per hour entry level and work you way up very quick.

Remember that the fish market can potentially become a non union shop if the IDIOTS at our local continue to act like they own the world.

What a worthless leadership!

You mean THE Fish Market(once People's Fish or SD Fish Co?) at the Embarcadero or downtown? I live in Carlsbad so travel gets too expensive. I need something local, I have to go non-union now, nobody's going to pay me 19.50 if forced to on a re-hire. I'm vested so will take pension and early Soc Sec in 18 months, I'll be 62. I can go to SmartnFinal or FreshnEasy for $10 not too far from here. Thanks for the tip.

My fearless union leader once again showing is true color.

The fish market changed ownership, because my fearless union leaders refused to re-open negotiation to assist the prior’s ownership to survive. Deal done Fish market is sold

New owner gave the employees a new proposal and one week to decide if they would like to keep their job or be let go. Since February 14 the workers have not been given any union representation.

A group of thugs under the direct supervision of Mickey Kasparian have systematical targeted restaurants that purchase fish from the fish market. Handing out fliers to restaurants customers, telling them no to eat at the restaurants because the restaurants owners are buying fishes from a union busting company.

Here is the kicker, this fearless union leader Mickey Kasparian is fully aware that the new owner have several other union shop “companies” in California and all of them have union representation, the sad part is that in the others shops the workers are not represented by the UFCW. They are represented by the Teamsters Union!

Instead of negotiate a deal with the new owner to benefits the workers Mickey Kasparian and his goons are going around misleading people by telling them that the new owners are union buster.

This week the fearless union leaders sent out ultimatum to the workers pay your union dues or you will not longer by employee.

Hey, Kasparian the workers at the fish market don’t have a CBA therefore they don’t have to pay you anything.

Ross

Maybe the workers at the fish market should contact super hero Jacques Loveall to come to their rescue. Rolling Eyes

We all know that Jacques cares nothing about the millions of dues$$$ coming in from members, he strictly loves helping working people, right? Wink Razz

Scott,

I am very happy that you see a way of making a joke out of people who are in needs of a fair representation. Unfortunately the fish market is not within the jurisdiction of Local 8.

However when they ask me for guidance I gave them the phone numbers of the NLRB and DOL and the name of a local reporter for the newspaper. In addition to it, I gave them www.uncharted.ca and guide them to Scott. I show them how to use the private message link and send you questions.

I wish I could do more unfortunately I don’t have a lot of free time.

Ross

The joke isn’t these workers misfortune, the joke is that you somehow think that Jacques Loveall could and would actually do anything to help these workers. Loveall and his minions at Local 8 won’t even do the right thing by the members of Local 8 so why in the world would he/they do anything to help a few workers at a fish market?

My suggestion to you Ross is get in your car and take a little trip up north. You can start in Modesto and work your way up to the Sacramento valley. Don’t forget to head up Hwy 80 and Hwy 50 towards Lake Tahoe. Stop in every Safeway, Save Mart, Raleys, Food Max and Rite-Aid you can find. Talk with the workers in these stores! Ask them what they think of Jacques Loveall and the reps at Local 8 and how much help against management abuse, education about their worker rights, or just CBA enforcement they have gotten from the Loveall clan lately?

I’m sure Ross you’ll hear the same stories and get the same anger by members towards Loveall and the Local 8 leaders that I got when I made this very same trip. That is if many of the members you’d be speaking with even know who Jacques Loveall was! Most don’t even know where union meeting are held let alone where their union dues are going.

Tell you what Ross! If you’ve got the stamina to make such a trip and interview Local 8 members when you hit the Hwy 50 area towards Lake Tahoe I’ll buy you lunch(or dinner) at my favorite Italian restaurant.

IMO Ross unless it involves lots of $$$$$$ Loveall has no interest in helping working people. The Local 8 members already fronting the Local 8 bill can testify to that!

Funny thing JB I didn't see Ross in any of those pics in the video Confused Better things to do I guess?

I guess it’s a bit difficult to get out in the streets and fight for working people and tongue Loveall ass at the same time? It would appear that tonguing Loveall ass has taken precedence in Ross’s case?

Damn Ross what a disappointment! All this time I thought you were a true reformer who cared about working people... Wink

We’ve all got a peek at what Crane’s pay off was to jump into the Loveall bed, maybe you could shed some light for us all what your pay off will be to cozy up with Loveall?

Precisely you Genius I have been in and out the hospital taken care of my wife and assisting her in any way I can to help her fight breast cancer.

…and BTW Kasparian has full knowledge of my wife medical condition.

Don’t worry apology not needed!

The disappointment is in believing that all of this time you and I were friends.
I guess I was wrong. In order to be your friend I need to show discontent about Jacque Loveall, RIGHT?

If that is the condition, I don't want to be your friend.
