Its all about trust. I didn't marry the first lady I met or every lady I met just cause they looked nice!!! Do what you gotta do but I bet that there are a bunch of people here that could help you if they knew what was going on. _________________ “The burden against Damascus. ‘Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap. I agree that this will make things simpler for the user. The reson for the website is only to inform you of how things are done under the current administration of UFCW Local 135. Regards, Ross _________________ The PG is your friend. |

My letter to Mr. Joseph T. Hansen
UFCW Inernation President. Nov 8, 2004 Re:Local 135 San Diego,CA Dear President Hansen, U.F.C.W.Local 135's Mickey Kasparian and his administration have implemented, for lack of a better term,a modern day dictatorship. Mr. Kasparian has mandated, to all Local 135 members, that dues will be paid for the duration of the time union members were striking. Some of us members, have challeged the Local 135 to provide written evidence, within the union bylaws, stating the payment of such dues are in fact lawful and justified. The response to us was Article 23(E)3...that was an unacceptable answer. After contacting Rosalyn Moore, the Local 135's Secretary Treasure, we were referred to your office. The Local 135 has indicated that they have no choice but to comply with the above mentioned mamdate. Can your office provide myself,as well as the other members, with any documentation that supports Local 135', action? Another matter, which requier some attention, is the matter of Mr. Kasparian's integrity. While running for office, Mr. Kasparian's main point was "don't re-elect Norm Bell, because he is taking money from the union and using it for personal use. Vote for me and I will put a stop to it" One year later, we the members, refuse to believe Mr. Kasparian is keeping his promise. Since Local 135 refuses to open up the "books" to it's members. I humbly, with the support of my fellow union members request that the U.F.C.W. International look into the financial state of our Local 135. We are not in any way shape or form implying that money is missing from the Local135. But one can't help wonder, especially the way Mr. Kasparian has conducted business since his ascension to power. Awaiting your reply, Ross and a group of concerned members. |

The action taken by the UFCW Local 135 to the following Letter left me with no others alternatve but to file charges under the NRLB Section 8(1)(A)
Jan 21, 2006 Sean Karimi Grievance Director UFCW Local 135 Re:Understanding Language: Dear Mr. Karimi; Once again I find my self with a quandary, by your own words I am a person who needs to be educated therefore I beg you please don't deprive your self of this great opportunity to educate me especially since Mr Kasparian choose not to be my Mentor. Subject of my quandary: An employee voluntarly quit.(Whit proper due process) A couple of weeks latter the employee realized that he/she made a big mistake and he/she reapply for employment at the former work place the company agree to give he/she back the original job. He/She will be fully employee meaning on the schedule and actually working. Withing less then 30 calender days from the last day that he/she worked at the company. It is my understanding that he/she will regain all of the benefits, in other words the employee will not be place under a diffirent set of rules and or benefit. If I misunderstood will you kindly prove to me that in fact Im wrong. Hello everyone,
WHAT A MESS INSIDE UFCW LOCAL 135. Sean Karimi, Grievances Director, Slick Mickey right hand man, the Golden Boy, A legend in is own mind, the union official who only answer to any question during the strike was “I DON’T KNOW”. During the 2003 campaign for officers of Local 135 he made statements to the fact that he had evidences that Norm Bell misappropriated union funds. A genius who authorizes a case of wrongful termination to go to Arbitration and nearly 12 months after is decision, the union member still waiting to hear for a date to be set. Mr. Karimi is no longer employee at UFCW of Local 135. WHY????????????????? THOSE WHO KNOW ARE NOT SPEAKING OUT BUT I WILL SOON FIND OUT. “union official earn their paychecks by betraying the union members”Ross53 |

Pearson,and everyone else.
Question. When "SLICK MICKEY" was elected president of Local 135 in July 2003, Norm should have stayed president of Local 135 until Dec 31, 2003, according with the constitution of UFCW Internation. Mickey, and Norm had an agreement (I know that for a fact)that payed Norm for the remaing time of the year 2003 and Mickey assumed full controll of the Local 135.In the month of July 2003. IS THIS LEGAL????? Pearson, in the unlikely event that you do not know the answer, can you or anyone else please guide me someone who knows. Let me try and be as straight forward as i can. First off, i liked Norm and thought he did a pretty good job. I know from Wilson Center surveys the local was well thought of by members. Second, i loved when he was one of a handful Of California presidents that sued the International (and specifically Dority) for their investment in hedge funds (ultimately they lost some 65 or 75 million dollars and it turned out Dority's daughter married one of the officers in the corporation who made the investment). I didn't like the fact he had one or two of his sons on staff; it breeds problems and i expected him to be smarter than that. It appeared it was one of the reasons he got the boots, as there were issues related to them. Of course in the UFCW nepotism is common place. I don't know Mickey from adam so anything i say about him would be pure conjecture. I stopped at picket lines in San Diego during the strike in 04 and have to say the lines were run poorly. I did read that was the case all too often across Southern CA. To your question: I'm not familar with when Norm left, but you are right, the by-laws spell it out. Typically elections are in the fall or summer with the elected officer coming on board the first of the year. If Norm left early, it could well have been he had vacation time earned that allowed him to leave early and be paid. If Mickey wanted him gone or Norm wanted to go before then (and didn't have vacation pay to do so), it would have taken an e-board action if there was pay involved. Get copies of the minutes and it would have to spell it out. If he did pay him without approval, it would be illegal. Hope that answers your questions. _________________ If we don't do it, who will? |

Pearson,
We are very clear both you and I have no problem with Norm. I like him a lot to the point that I strongly believe that if Norm was in charge the strike would NOT had happen. Thank you, for making your answer to my question easy to understand very clear I will ask for the E.B.M. Minutes the last six OF THE YEAR 2003. In reference to Vacation time Norm left in late July 2003. It is possible for Norm to have accumulate nearly FIVE months of vacation? can vacation time be accumulate year after year? or it shall be use before the end of a calendar year? Now,another question on the same subject. When, Norm signed the agreement to early departure, on the same agreement Norm also agreed to the following (FACTS NOT B/S): Norm cannot ever run for office of Local 135, Norm cannot endorse any candidate who opposes "SLICK MICKEY' Norm cannot contribute in any way form or shape to any one who opposes "SLICK MICKEY" in any future election. Pearson, rest assure my posting are based on facts nothing will come back to me telling me different I know I have evidence I speak the truth. Ross- -Many of us have been under the impression that the key reason for Norm's quick exit from Local 135 was because of his "Medical" Problems--word was that he had gotten really sick--and couldn't continue working. Are you saying Norm was not sick but rather was forced out by Mickey Kasparian? LT |
