It is the intent of the gop to eliminate labor unions and they've got a head start. The push is on.

While it may be possible to kill off what passes as "labour unions" these days, as hard as they try I doubt it's possible to kill People uniting for a common cause. If anything, it might be the repubs we'll be thanking for clearing the path of the current slugs and making way for a real movement. Not an over night process, but nothing ever is. Another point to ponder is if you can already smell repubs then it means you're already scraping bottom - there is no down from there?

It is scott walker's desire to end the existence of all union collective bargaining and to drive wages to the bottom.

The gop holds the house, the senate, the presidency, and most states have republican governors; they taste union blood, and the assault is on.

A new law passed in Iowa the beginning of this year that really sets up some hoops for unions (public sector, as of now) to jump through to remain certified. It's really quite unbelievable, unnecessary and expensive.

Fighting right to work in Missouri. Labor has been up to the task.

and. union members can not just sit back expecting their unions officials to fight anti union forces. They must be proactive and take their destiny in their own hands---because you guys are the only ones who truly care about you and yours. Like it or lump it, asi es la vida.

It hasn't been that many decades that Labor Day actually meant something other than a mad dash to the sale at the mall. But, we aren't educated to know the fight for dignity and respect in the work place and the importance of the solidarity among workers, and how people actually lost their lives in the pursuit of a livable wage and a safe and sane work site, That, of course, is their plan. THEY want you (workers) to be ignorant, placid, and divided.

and, a flash from the past; Jimmy carter addresses labor.
