Shortly your union representative and your union stewards will be handing out buttons to each member. the buttons will carry the motto "What part of GOOD FAITH don't they understand?" It is very important that you wear your button at work everyday.
Brooke - that's put the "boots" to not - put the buttons to.

I was one of the so-called radicals for over 30 years trying to improve the way the ufcw represented the members,at one point in time we found our option was to lay a complaint against the ufcw at the Ont labour board, on our arrival at the board we discovered that 4 other groups had made the same complaint, so we decided to combine our complaints with the exception of one group ,the rest of us proceeded has one and on this occasion succeeded with our complaint, this was before internet, so if the Co. is holding meetings and if only one member feels intimidated ( of course the more thh better)then the ufcw has a LEGAL obligation to represent you, failing that the Ont labour office was located on Yonge Street, you can download the forms it is not that difficult to fill them out and the people where very helpful in my day, so if you are not being represeted by your union and management with the full knowledge of the union is harrasing and intimidating members, then the complaint is that the union is not representing you remedy that the union comply with all the rules of the collective agreement and applicable and all applicable labour legislation, any one can file, has a union member you have this right under Ont legislation, of course a long petition will help, but it only takes one to start the ball rolling Neutral

A lot has changed since those days taffy. The OLRB now tolerates pretty much any form of lousy representation that unions want to provide their members - that includes making secret agreements with employers, intimidating and harassing members, taking payoffs from employers - you name it, it's OK.

When did the decision come out on the complaint that you mentioned in your post (above)? I'd like to look it up.
