Along the "only way out is in" train of thought. The most viable way to increase union membership is to organize workers around extra-union causes, see "Nation" Dec 20 issue.
Instead of "Leaderless", how about everyone is a leader? Why not encourage each member to develop their own strengths and become leaders according each to their own talents? This is the idea that is most exciting about organizations. What's in it for each person is not going to be the same narrative.
