Phuck I hate when you do this. The last time I watched one of your recommendations I didn't sleep right for three days.

I've got a friend that has done a ton of research into it. He's an activist out of Hamilton (Steel Capital of Canada), Ontario. If you're a Facebook guy there is a ton of info here... http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6404348583 This is the history lesson and video that he drew me in with: The Fluoride Deception (Interview With Christopher Bryson) Sleep tight, TTE. Phew... Vancouver Water:
Quote: Q#11. How much fluoride is in the water and do we add any?
The natural level is less than 0.05 mg/L. Fluoride is not added to the water. None added to Vancouver Water. I know I grew up with the stuff though... <shudder> _________________ No Beast so fierce knows but some small amount of pity, but I know none and so I am no beast. ~ Richard III |

10 steps from democracy to dictatorship Quote: Last autumn, there was a military coup in Thailand. The leaders of the coup took a number of steps, rather systematically, as if they had a shopping list. In a sense, they did. Within a matter of days, democracy had been closed down: the coup leaders declared martial law, sent armed soldiers into residential areas, took over radio and TV stations, issued restrictions on the press, tightened some limits on travel, and took certain activists into custody.
They were not figuring these things out as they went along. If you look at history, you can see that there is essentially a blueprint for turning an open society into a dictatorship. That blueprint has been used again and again in more and less bloody, more and less terrifying ways. But it is always effective. It is very difficult and arduous to create and sustain a democracy - but history shows that closing one down is much simpler. You simply have to be willing to take the 10 steps. February Organizing Roundtable Hears Story of Union Suppression Reminiscent of Pre-NLRA Days
On Tuesday February 12th, dozens of organizers and labor leaders gathered at IBEW Local 103 to hear Steve Sullivan, Director of Organizing and Government Affairs for Teamsters Local 25, tell in detail how a peaceful picket line in Somerville resulted in an unnecessary and unprompted use of force by police. What made the discussion even more compelling was the fact that Steve Sullivan was behind the camera throughout the entire ordeal, and was able to capture a scene of union suppression that was reminiscent of the 1930's, before workers gained the rights that are supposed to protect the right to picket and strike.
